Community Partnerships

In the last twelve months the Health Care Group has touched the lives of families and individuals in a number of ways and, in turn, the Horsham and Dimboola Campuses have received tremendous support and many donations. We value the support from individuals, staff, local business, community groups and charitable philanthropic trusts. A total of $309,000 plus a further $12,000 in-kind contributions have been donated to the Health Care Group and the Wimmera Base Hospital Foundation. As a result of these funds, much needed equipment has been purchased. We are extremely grateful and very fortunate to belong to a supportive community. Our thanks are extended to the many volunteers who have given freely of their time, expertise and friendship to assist us in providing the many services that enhance the lives of our patients and clients.

Embracing the Challenge

Faced with the challenge of keeping the community aware of the Group's services and activities, it is encouraging to work almost in partnership with the local business's who recognise the important work of the Health Care Group.
Our staff welcome the opportunity to give talks to community groups and tours of the health care facilities are made available. Introduction of the promotional 'on hold' telephone message and the information video on patient's televisions is another way to convey customer service information to patients.

Global Presence

The Internet offers Wimmera Health Care Group the opportunity of a worldwide audience. The development of a website offers international access to its facilities and services and a cost effective means to promote the Health Care Group's services and to showcase its facilities. The site, www.wimmerahealth.com features executive profiles, location maps, an annual review of activities and appeal information.

The future undoubtedly will continue to be exciting and challenging for us in our long term commitment to deliver the best of health and aged care in comfortable facilities.
