Service Description / Overview

The Physiotherapy department provides assessment, treatment and prevention of disorders of human movement. This includes relief from pain and stiffness of joints; improved muscle strength and coordination; and help for people with disabilities to live as independently as possible.

The department also has walking aids, including crutches, sticks and frames for hire. Other equipment like collars, stockings and braces are available with a doctor's referral.

The department provides education and instruction in back care, sports injury prevention, and general fitness for all ages.

Outreach services are provided to Hospitals in Dimboola and Donald; and Dunmunkle Health Services at Minyip, Murtoa and Rupanyup. Appointments can be made with these centres directly.

Additional Information

8.30 am - 5.00 pm, Mon - Fri. A weekend service is available for treatment of in-patients only.

Eligibility

Referral by GP is needed for all treatment. A referral lasts for six months.
