Service Description / Overview

The diabetes educator is a health professional who helps people to understand the day to day management of diabetes. The practice of diabetes education includes clinical care, education, advocacy, health promotion and counselling. Through education and support, people are able to obtain the skills to adequately self-manage their condition thereby improving their quality of life.
