 Kurrajong Lodge is situated within the residential area of Horsham. Nestled quietly overlooking the recreational parkland of Jardwa Park, the home, which accommodates 36 residents, all single rooms, is surrounded by native trees and wildlife, and is close to the City Centre.

At Kurrajong Lodge we understand that the transition to an aged care facility can be an emotional and challenging time for a new resident and their family. This is why the team at Kurrajong Lodge focuses on resident wellbeing and encourages family and friends to play an active part in residents’ life. The professional, experienced and friendly nursing and care team will assist you to maintain a healthy and happy life at Kurrajong Lodge.

Our nursing and care team are committed to providing an environment that is person-centred and one that supports the well-being of older people. 24 hour care is available from our Personal Care Attendants and we have access to a Registered Nurse 24 hours a day, as well as immediate access to on-site Allied Health and Medical Professionals, including but not limited to:

Our three spacious wings each include a communal kitchen and dining room with lounge area and large screen television, all adjacent to an external courtyard. This relaxed setting allows residents to utilise the kitchen facilities to maintain their freedom and independence within a safe and comfortable environment. A hairdressing salon is also available for residents.

The Kurrajong Lodge garden and courtyard surrounds are equipped with comfortable seating for pleasant outdoor recreation.. The landscaped surrounds consist of manicured lawn areas, planted gardens, easy walking paths and barbecue facilities with all rooms offering direct access to the garden. The gardens are fully maintained by our on-site gardener. Our garden landscape provides a wonderful opportunity for residents to enjoy the outdoors with family and friends.
                                                                       
Room description - Individual Room with Private Ensuite        
Our private, light filled rooms are tastefully appointed each containing a comfortable height adjustable/electronically operated bed, built in wardrobes, drawers, cabinetry and shelving, over bed light, Nurse call bell, telephone connection, television outlet, large windows, evaporative cooling, hydronic heating and a spacious ensuite. All rooms have safe access to the private garden surrounds. Residents and families are encouraged to decorate rooms with familiar furnishings and memorabilia as desired.

Additional care or services included in the room price:
All meals are prepared on-site by our professionally trained Chefs. This service allows us to meet the specific dietary requirements for each resident. Nutritional and hydration needs and preferences are discussed with each resident/relative taking into account all religious and cultural dietary customs. Assessment of special dietary needs is completed in consultation with the resident and our Dieticians, Speech Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, Doctors and nursing staff. Menus are frequently revised with resident input encouraged
Our Leisure and Lifestyle team plan activities for individuals and groups . The activities program is designed to preserve the independence, skills, memory and dignity of our residents.
