Caring for the Wimmera and Southern Mallee Region of Victoria

National duck producer Luv-a-Duck has made a significant contribution of $50,000 towards the Wimmera Cancer Centre.

Luv-a-Duck chief executive officer Daryl Bussell said making the donation was an easy decision for the company.
“We are a family-owned company and the family roots are deeply embedded in Nhill. A new Wimmera Cancer Centre will improve treatment options for the Nhill community and the entire Wimmera and Southern-Mallee,” Mr Bussell said.
“We are a major employer in the region but we believe in treating our employees like family- this will greatly improve health outcomes for people we consider as family.
“As a major employer, we also understand our responsibility to help the community wherever possible.”
Wimmera Health Care Group’s acting chief executive Mark Knights said the donation from Luv-a-Duck was greatly appreciated.
“We are very grateful for the donation and we see this is another example of how the broader community understands the importance of the Wimmera Cancer Centre and accepts how it will greatly improve access to services for patients across the region,” Mr Knights said.
“Every donation we have received, and every donation we will receive, will help make the Wimmera Cancer Centre a reality- thank you.”
